I have just bought my first smart phone, a Galaxy S2 G4. I revisited your article on Android seurity in my Dec 2011 PCU mag and decided to download Bit Defender. When downloading I noticed that it had a list of "permissions" that had to be agreed with. I subsequently looked at other applications e.g. Brightest Flashlight and noted that they appeared to seek permissions that may not be appropriate. Is it possible to deny some of the permissions that are requested or will that void the application?

I stumbled upon a PC app (YouWave) that lets you install and run Android apps on your PC. I was interested to know whether your PC's WiFi would produce more accurate results compared to your Android phone...]

Is there a way to get a vpn connection from Logmein Hamachi to my Android phone?

I read your article on tracking data usage (Page 84,May 2012) with great anticipation only to find you told us you use an alternative 350KB program, but after reading it three times i still did not find the name of the program to look for on the cover DVD or to download it. Did the Editor put it on the cutting room floor? Is it possible to put the name of the program in next months magazine please? Will this data use program work on a windows 7 desktop PC as well as my phone.

Having loaded the new version of the sever from the March Disk,and after several attemps to load it is now working well with one exception. I connected an external HDD with two partitions and followed the instructions but when I opened the drives up in windows7 win explorer I was not asked for any security password etc.
I loaded onto the server extended HDDs some videos and files only to find I could not delete them getting the message ( unable to find a trash can for them.}
I have obviously done something wrong but have no ideas on how to correct this.

its means than when i call anyone and i want to share my phonebook and other files with the other android user so how can do it .

how about this 7" HYUNDAI A7 Capacitive Android 4.0 Tablet PC ?

Hi there in reguards to your guide on installing android 4.0 aka ice cream sandwhich (pc user march), I am curious about which phones can support this as in the article you only mention the htc desire.
