G'day,
Your correspondent, Judith Borowski asks how to maske photos smaller for emailing and Link Harris offers a couple of slightly clunky methods. A much better way is to download this app.- http://imageresizer.codeplex.com/releases/view/82827
Until my computer(XP Pro sp3) died on a update I could open and view an emailed pdf file, zoom in on a particular part of it and print that image. Since having to format my hard drive I loaded Adobe Reader X but it won't do that anymore, I can zoom in but it won't print the zoomed image. I don't know what program I was using for this, does anyone know of a program I can use. I have to do this quite often so need a simple way to do it. I have a Brother MFC240C. When I printed before the window would have the info for printing .. All pages,.. This page,..Current view.
Using Windows 7 hp 64 bit with CorelDRAW graphics suite X4 and has been working quite OK for a long time.
Now when it opens the Corel window Draw or Photopaint is frozen but says it is running in task manager.
They will both open if I click on a relevant file and will then work reasonably, help does not work.
I cannot uninstall the suite and I cannot get them to repair from the original disk.
Can you help please,
Alex Chad
Hi,
I am in the process of photographing hundreds of old genealogy pics etc, & had been using an old Amiga monitor with the RCA yellow connector.
Rather than a new monitor I bought a Lenovo TS520 laptop, but it has no yellow RCA video input socket. (W7 pro, 4Gb ram, 500Gb hd).
Is there some way of seeing full-screen (on laptop) the Canon A480 Powershot viewfinder image, as previously possible on old monitor?.
I would like to do so utilizing a USB input socket please.
in photoshop cs5 is there a technique to remove and replace unwanted background eg. people from an image and replacing them with the surrounding plain background.
Chris Robinson asks: I have an image in Photoshop Elements and I want to blur the background. Can you explain how to do this?
Answer: In Photoshop Elements 9, this is easier to do than in earlier versions because in Elements 9 you have the ability to create masks on regular layers in an image.
Emma Bawlins asks: I’m having a problem in Photoshop keeping the size of the cropped image the same as the original image size. I also get confused with the concepts of resizing, resampling, aspect ratio and free crop in Photoshop. Can you help?
Answer: These are confusing terms when you first start out in Photoshop, so we’ll try to help.
Sam Billings asks: I’m using Lightroom and I want to add a frame around an image before printing it. Can you tell me how I can get a nice framed edge with my name on it?
Answer: Start out in Lightroom by selecting the image to print. Move to the Print module, choose the ‘Page Setup’ option and select the paper size (for example, A4) as well as Landscape or Portrait orientation.
Robert Grosevale asks: One of my hobbies is family history and I have a number of pictures that I have scanned to place on my family history web site. Currently, I label the pictures with a caption in the traditional back row, front row, left to right format, but in many circumstances this doesn’t end up being as straightforward as it might sound.
