I want to send email from one email address but want it to have a different name Tag depending on whom I send it to.

Eg. Let's say I am using "someone@nametag.com" and I send it to my Kids then it should show "Best Dad". If I send it to my Nephew I'd like to show "Best Uncle!" or if I send it to my dad it should show "Super Son". You get the drift. How can I set up a mail client or an online(I use Gmail) service to facilitate this?

Apologies for not visiting PC User’s site for a while – I’ve been really busy with my new ventures. Anyway, I note that there's been a spam problem here and while it’s pretty much impossible to beat the spammers completely, there are ways to dramatically reduce it.

First, a rundown of the antispam features already on this site:

As observed by several contributors, the problem of spammers in this forum has got out of control.

The 'report spam' button is useless, and no-one on the staff of the magazine seems to be remotely interested in fixing the problem.

If the webmaster, or anyone else on the staff, reads the posts could he/she please respond?

Like many, I'm sick of this site's SPAM.

It renders it useless.

For such a credible magazine, it is disappointing.

What credibility is there for a 'help' website that cannot even manage its own SPAM problem?

I'm considering purchasing a Canon 600D from the Kogan online store.

Before doing so, I thought it best to ask PC-user magazine if that is a good idea.
They list the camera for half the price of other stores. That makes me suspicious. What's the catch ?

how well do Kogan look after customers ?
and if the camera comes from somewhere overseas; such as Hong Kong, would that affect the warranty claim process, if the camera broke down ? another issue might be the power supply for the battery charger: whether it would fit Australian power points or not.

I like my email address as it is my name i.e. [my.name@......] but around 12 months ago some clever so and so cracked it and sent viagra links etc. in my name to all of my contacts including distant relatives, business people and others that I hardly know. Extremely embarassing. I can imagine that you would like this harmless prankster to spam your bosses wife in your name. The clever so and so also sold or posted my address onto the web and now I get all sorts of spam every day.

I have a USB Virgin prepaid broadband dongle. Before using it,I need help as to setting up security to protect from intruders. All your invaluable technical tips on what to do and practices so I can use this type of internet service safely will be very much appreciated.

Looking for software that will assist in providing some measure of security while I am on the Internet while using public WiFi hotspots like McDonald's or at a hotel.

I understand that using Virtual Private Network software will do this for me. Unfortunately I have no understanding of how it might do it for me. I am the world's worst researcher.

I am happy to pay for software but I would like to try it out first to see what it can do.

having reported close to 100 spam posts from user Lyt today, your forum really needs soemthing to fix this problem. As I get an email every time someone posts an answer on any posts I have commented, that means I have receieved almost 100 emails from pcu.web@gmail.com.
There must still be plenty of spam posts from Lyt throughput the forum. Where do you go now?

when will Pc User become available as online magazine through outlets such as Zinio? I have been purchasing your hardcopy magazine for well over adecade, but every year I throw out a pile of paper and DVD s that are superseded. I'd rather not deal with this waste, and in this day and age of tablet-mania, an online version of your magazine with the DVD content as download would be contemporary and welcome, even at a price not far from the current hard copy subscription. Please consider.
