(I know this isn't about PCU software but there is no other forum where this sort of post about PCU belongs)

So I got the latest PC User today and saw the sample issue of the new TechLife magazine which will replace PC User from next issue. Looks like I am now golding the last ever issue of PC User, collector's item?

What does everybody think of the new magazine, the new name and design and the new look?

The June 2012 edition plus DVD have now been available for a while but the registration keys for the enclosed software are still not available on the website, so the software cannot be used. When will this information be available please?

How do I register "DAZ Studio Pro 4" in June issue? Your website has latest issue as April and no help to register this software.

On the pc essentials disc I brought, there's a program on the disc website x5 smart 9. And to get the full version you have to register and the key is given to you, so I registered and confirmed my email address but I didn't get the key for he full version. Can you please tell me how to get the key to unlock full version?

Hi I have just replaced my computer - thanks to help from ":Perfecrt PC" 'I now ish to donate my old computer and would like to somehow "cleanse" the old hard drive as much as possible. I seem to remeber reading of freeware CD software that came with the magazaine sometime ago but cannot locate it.
If possible I would like to leave Office and Windows XP loaded

I had everything running smoothly on 12.03 apart from the fact that the external hard drive that our shared Outlook.pst file resides on started rejecting permission for my PC to access the drive (but not my wife's PC).
In trying to correct this I made the mistake of uninstalling Samba and now despite my best efforts, I keep getting an error message when trying to reinstall it.
Trust me I've tried everything.
Trying to share the drive thru Nautilus throws up the error that the windows sharing service is not installed. Would I like it install it, but it doesn't work.

Re: ROCKPOD 5 (Build 281) - When using "Your Portable Device" to rip sound track only from a video file, the resulting output file has an 'mp4'extension.
Renaming it to 'mp3', the file works fine.
I cannot see a way to change the settings to get the right output file extension.
It's not a great problem but a patch would be good.
By the way, I like Video Toolkit 3 but a file joining ability like RockPod 5 would be handy.
