Does anybody know if a 500w PSU included case be sufficient for a Radeon 6850/GTX 550 ti coupled with a Quad-core core i5?

Also, if it were sufficient could anyone be able to suggest a good PSU included case?

Thanks,
Valk

Why are you limiting yourself to a 500W PSU if you're concerned about "hitting the ceiling"?

No, that is not what i intend. I am merely asking if it is SUFFICIENT. I know Darren Yates has always included cases with 500w PSU's in the Perfect PC column in the PC User magazines, so it SHOULD do the job.
But i wanted to know if anyone actually had experience with these cases and could suggest any cons about 'em. And if possible, suggest a good case.

Thanks anyway,

Hi Valk. A genuine 500W PSU should handle a Radeon 6850 or GTX 550 TI, assuming it's a standard desktop PC setup (one or two hard drives, one optical drive, etc). However, for higher-end graphics cards, we generally recommend higher rated PSUs, so you may well find yourself having to upgrade the PSU if you want to upgrade the graphics in future.

Darren wrote an excellent feature in PC User's February 2012 issue (page 62) which covers this topic in depth.

Hey Glenn, everyone is going to miss you!
Anywayz, now i know that a 500w is more than enough really. Considering not only that technology is going to get mroe powerful, certainly, it will also be more energy efficient and thus consume less power. We have seen this clearly from the new generations of AMD cards.
You may not read this, but hey, its going to be here for the rest of time, right?
