Installing UserOS HomeServer 12.03

I would like on install UserOS HomeServer 12.03 and wondering if it would format the Hard Drive?

Well, yes, if you install the operating system, it is going to format the hard drive - that's what all operating systems do when you install them.

Am I missing something? (Sorry but your question doesn't quite make sense as you read it.)

HomeServer initially loads in try-out mode so if you want to give it a try, you can load it onto a USB flash drive, plug that into your system and boot it as a live OS. It only installs and formats the hard drive if you select the "Installer UserOS HomeServer" icon once you've boot it into try-out mode.
