A self proclaimed computer wizard installed a number of programs on a friends computer to help performance and do maintenance. The friend is clueless when it comes to the system. The programs are logmein which is hidden + teamviewer7 + soluto + lastpass and there could be more. Remote access has been organized by the wizard, for offline and online. The wizard has told my friend that the wizard can only look at the computer when he gives permission and that nothing can be looked at unless he gives permission and that all his files and emails are private and cannot be looked at or altered by this person. My friend has been told that the wizard can only look at and make changes to his computer when he is physically present. The wiz has made themselves a password protected administrator on the friends computer saying it is necessary, they are administrator for last pass and soluto but I don't know about team viewer. Logmein the friend has never heard of. My friend believes he has control over these programs, yet he has extremely limited access to change anything. I am worried, my friend believes everything this wizard says especially that this remote access is just to help him and nothing private can be accessed. The wiz has given access 24/7 online and offline to themselves, they have told my friend they can only access his computer when he is physically there and that they cannot access his emails or his personal files at any time. This wizard used to work for a computer company for a number of years. My friend will read any responses. This wizard appears to have taken control of my friends computer and at the same time convincing him that they can do nothing other than basic system maintenance. Please help ,please advise in simple terms what to do. This guy has been badly taken advantage of. Help Help.

IMO the best way out is to
1) Disconnect the internet to cut off the wizard;
2) Copy all personal documents and data to a USB drive;
3) Do a clean re-install of Windows;
4) Re-install other software as required;
5) Copy back the personal data.
Slightly harder but maybe quicker would be to
1) Go here http://pogostick.net/~pnh/ntpasswd/
for advice on changing the admin password and making a boot disk;
2) Disconnect the internet to cut off the wizard;
3) Reboot with the new disk, change the admin password;
4) Reboot, delete other accounts, and uninstall all the remote access and control programs.
5) Create a new personal user account and go from there.
