In the Ease of Access Centre, the Turn on Magnifier box is unchecked but it is still activated by my mouse.
How can it be disabled permanently?

If you google your question, you will find that others have similar problems. One solution is to go into your mouse properties and change from Windows Aero to standard Windows.
The only problem is, the problem may recur, in which case you need to go back in and change this setting again.
I have found the remedy myself, but this may help others as the Google forums do not seem to have got to the bottom of it.
Go into Mouse Properties. Select the Buttons Tab. The Right Side Button option defaults to Magnifier (on my mouse), select Disable. Hit OK. Thank goodness for that. It has been so annoying.
