You can choose to just browse our site, which is very straightforward. In the top navigation menu you’ll see links to the six main site sections:

- Guides: Tips and tutorials for using your tech gear and software.
- Downloads & apps: The latest software and apps for your PC and smartphone.
- Magazine: Here are see what's in the latest issue, search back issues' contents listings, and more.
- About: Here you can contact us, learn more about PC User's exclusive benchmarks and more.

Within the Help, Reviews, Guides and Downloads sections you’ll find categories (listed in full in the right-hand margin) to help you quickly find the topics that interest you. You can search our reviews, help, magazine index, cover DVD index and the whole site, of course. You can also follow us and keep up with what's happening on the site via our Facebook page, Twitter or numerous custom RSS feeds.
However, we encourage you to register with our site and participate in our community. When registered and logged in you'll be able to:
- Ask tech questions in our help forums.
- Answer other readers’ tech questions and comment on articles by PC User writers.
- View your own posts and comments in one easy-to-access listing.
- Bookmark, and then easily access, articles and posts (by other users) that most interest you.
- Report abusive posts and spam, to help us moderate the site.
- Add details about yourself in your profile, including uploading your own picture (or you can use your Facebook picture), so that other registered users on this site can view your profile.
- Connect to social network accounts, so that you can show your Tweets in your profile and let your Facebook friends see you that you have a PC User account.
- Improve your user ranking on the site by participating, such as answering tech questions.
